Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reportedly made defensive midfielder Marco Verratti his primary transfer target. The Italian has even been compared to the Chelsea boss from back in his own playing days.
Paris St Germain's midfielder has been an almost ever present since his arrival in the French capital and has been linked with a move away from PSG repeatedly and almost every summer. The player has previously been linked with Man City and Arsenal, but it is believed to be Chelsea who are in the driving seat to land the player.
Where he would fit in Chelsea's line up is unsure, with N'Golo Kante performing a starring role for the Blues last year. Nemanja Matic could be sold to make way for the talented Italian, with both Manchester United and Manchester City reportedly keen on a mega money transfer for the 28-year-old Serbian international.
Verratti's asking price is a reported 55 million euros, about half of Chelsea's entire transfer budget for the transfer window.
