Arsenal to complete deal for Barcelona midfielder

According to a report from Turkish media outlet Haberturk, Arsenal has agreed terms with Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan. The 30-year-old has reportedly rejected a last-minute offer from China to make a move to the Premier League.

  • Arda Turan has failed to force his way into Barcelona's first team on a regular basis and told the club that he would be seeking a move away from the Camp Nou back in January. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of the Turkish international and has been in contact with the player's agent for over three months. Wenger will offer Turan a three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium.

News of a possible arrival to North London for Turan could spell the end of Alexis Sanchez's Gunners' career, with Arsenal moving swiftly to sign a replacement for the Chilean, who has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich and Man City.

Haberturk reports that Turan has verbally agreed on a contract with Arsenal and that a deal will be announced sometime in July.
