Arsenal could reportedly get their hands of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette this summer, should they offer Olivier Giroud in a part-exchange deal.

  • According to Le10Sport, Les Gones president Jean-Michel Aulas is keen on signing the France international in a proposed move which could see Lacazette make his way to the Emirates.

Giroud has recently expressed his frustration at his lack of playing time in north London, and he is open to a move elsewhere, should he fail to receive assurances over a starting role next term.

On the other hand, Lacazette has been long linked with the FA Cup holders, and the club could negotiate a far lesser sum than the initial £60m fee quoted if Giroud is offered as part of the agreement.

Lacazette was initially eager to clinch a summer move to Atletico Madrid, but this option has been cancelled out after the Spanish club failed to win their appeal over a transfer ban at the Court of Arbitration of Sport.

The 26-year-old enjoyed his best season with the fallen French giants last term as he bagged 37 goals across all competitions.
