Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made a bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, who currently plays for Serie A side Lazio and the Serbia under-21 national team. The player, known as 'Sergej', has been one of Lazio's top performing players in recent seasons.
Sergej started his career playing for Vojvodina, before making a move to Belgium with Genk for one season. Lazio paid 3.5 million euros for Sergej and in two seasons the Serbian has gone on to become one of Lazio's most important players.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to bolster his midfield with both defensive and attacking talent and Sergej is seen as an option to fill the void.
The midfielder has three years remaining on his contract in Italy and is desperate to make his first appearance for Serbia's national team and is hopeful a transfer to England will improve his chances of international recognition.
Liverpool have been quoted a reported 20 million euro fee to sign the talented youngster.
