Liverpool have reportedly agreed to meet Roma's asking price for Salah and the Egyptian will now undergo a medical before making his move official.

  • According to Italian news outlet Football Italia, Liverpool will lodge a bid of €45 million for Roma's Mohamed Salah and the Egyptian is expected to be flown to Liverpool to undergo a medical in the next couple of days before making his move official.

Liverpool tried to sign the player for around €30 million a couple of weeks ago but Roma were believed to have made it clear to the Merseyside club that they will not let the winger go for less than €40 million.

Salah previously endured a torrid time in the Premier League with Chelsea, appearing only 13 times and scoring two goals. However, loan moves and a subsequent permanent switch to the Seria A proved successful, scoring 35 goals in 81 appearances playing for Fiorentina and Roma.

Liverpool have been in the market for a winger for a while and will be happy to finally tie up a deal for one of the best wingers in Serie A. Jurgen Klopp's side suffered heavily when Saido Mane left for the African Cup of Nations and he will be happy to add depth to his squad with the signing of Salah.

Roma themselves are already lining up Lyon's Rachid Ghezzal to replace Salah.
