Madejski confidence in Royals

Madejski confidence in Royals

07 February 2008 - 23:57

Reading boss John Madejski has the upmost confidence in his Royals side. The chairman believes that Reading will almost certainly stay up despite only being one point above the relegation zone.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • "Whenever I speak to people within football, the one thing that is always mentioned as our greatest asset is the togetherness and application of our players," said Madejski.

"We have a group of players who work extremely hard and stick together. They put personal ambitions to one side and play as a team. That is what we require now.

"The same is true of everybody who works at the club - they possess the same positive, determined mentality and we all pull together as a united team.

"That attitude was largely responsible for taking us into the Premier League, and I believe it will also keep us here.

"We have seen time and time again that the players are fighters who respond to adversity in the best possible way - with hard work.

"The players also have a great deal of respect for the manager and will not want to let him down."
