Nolito could miss out on Sevilla move

Nolito may have to wait longer for his next move

Nolito could miss out on Sevilla move

22 June 2017 - 05:11

Nolito's proposed move to Sevilla has apparently hit a roadblock after Manchester City turned down a loan approach from the Spanish outfit.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • The Citizens are holding out on a permanent £10m deal for Nolito, who was sparingly used under Pep Guardiola during the recently concluded season.

Nolito, 30, snubbed offers from the likes of Barcelona last summer in order to reunite with Pep Guardiola at City, where he hoped to earn regular playing time.

However, he struggled to make a huge impression under the Catalan tactician and was largely an outsider in the second half of the season, where he failed to make a single Premier League start.

Sevilla president Jose Castro confirmed his side's intention to sign Nolito earlier in the week, but their chances look slim after City demanded a straight cash deal.

The former Europa League champions had proposed a £7m deal for Nolito following a season-long loan, but they may have to come with an improved offer for the Spain international.
