Alejandro Gomez has been offered a super-offer by Atalanta in an attempt to keep the player at the club and diminish interest from Lazio and Milan.
The 29-year old exceeded all expectations last season netting 16 goals in addition to 10 assists for the Bergamo outfit, helping them finish fourth ahead of Milan and Lazio, who are now targeting the Argentine.Â
Milan had previously shown interest in the player as he was deemed to be the alternative to Keita Balde who chose Juventus over Milan. However, interest has died down due to the Donnarumma saga.Â
Lazio have also emerged as possible suitors for the left winger, with La Repubblica stating that the player had already agreed terms with the Romans.
It now seems however, that the player is set to stay at Atalanta, with the Nerazzurri making a new and improved four-year offer that would make Gomez the highest-earner in the history of the club. Â
