More players on the way out for Roma

24 June 2017 - 14:40

After the sale of Mohamed Salah to Liverpool for 50 million euros, more Roma players could be leaving the club, with Mario Rui and Bruno Peres set to depart, Corriere della Sera says.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Bruno Peres endured an average debut season at Roma, making 30 appearances and scoring two goals and assisting twice. However he is not happy at the club as he doesn't appreciate being second choice to the talented Emerson Palmieri. It is still unclear whether the 27-year old will stay at the Giallorossi.

In addition to the Brazilian right back, Mario Rui could also be on his way out of Rome, with the 26-year old left back making a mere five appearances for the Giallorossi in the 2016/17 season. The player was brought on loan from Empoli, but has since failed to break into the starting lineup.

Il Mattino reports that Rui has already agreed a four year contract with Napoli, who are offering six million euros for the Italian fullback, just short of Roma's asking price of 10 million euros.
