Cesc in talks over new deal

14 February 2008 - 15:09

Cesc Fabregas is reportedly in discussions with Arsenal regarding extending his contract and changing his contract terms. Cesc already has a contract until at least 2014 at the Gunners and Real Madrid and Barcelona have long-term interest in the midfielder.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Fabregas has regularly insisted he is happy at Arsenal, with whom he signed an eight-year contract extension in 2006, and nothing appears to have changed on that front.

"I have contract in force until 2014, I have six years remaining and I am talking with my club, who are interested in renegotiating it," said Fabregas in an interview on radio station Cadena Ser.

"I want to succeed at Arsenal and that the club wants me is fundamental for me. I am proud (to be linked to Barcelona), I am from Barcelona and I have played there. But now I only think of winning as many titles as possible here (at Arsenal)."
