Spanish giants Barcelona have reportedly joined the likes of Liverpool and Real Madrid in the pursuit of RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

  • The Germany international had a top campaign with the Bundesliga outfit last term as he racked 21 goals in the Bundesliga.

His stock has since risen further after he starred for Germany at the Confederations Cup in Russia where he awarded the Golden Boot.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona could rival for the German's signing when the transfer window reopens in less than 100 days' time.

Earlier this month, Werner stressed that he is not thinking about a move away from Leipzig, although he is flattered by the interest from elite European clubs.

Werner has started the new season Leipzig in prime fashion with six goals in nine appearances across all competitions.

Leipzig have already agreed on a deal to sell Naby Keita to Liverpool next summer, but this is unlikely to have an impact on other players unless the right offers are made.
