Manchester United head coach Jose Mourinho feels the upcoming international break could spoil the club's momentum in the early part of the season.
The Red Devils continued their superb start to the Premier League campaign as they brushed aside basement club Crystal Palace by a 4-0 scoreline on Saturday.
As a result, the club have registered six wins from their opening seven outings, and they are only behind leaders Manchester City on goal difference.
Mourinho's side dropped valuable points in a 2-2 draw against Stoke City after the previous international break, and the Special One is concerned that there could be a repeat with a tough trip to Liverpool on October 14.
"I don't welcome the break, it's bad," he told Sky Sports News. "We had the first break and two days after the players came back we had to play another game. It's not a good situation for us but moaning doesn't help."
The likes of Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones have been struggling with minor knocks of late, and Mourinho will be hopeful that the pair return unscathed during their participation for Belgium and England respectively.
Manchester United are unbeaten in their previous three outings at Anfield, although Jurgen Klopp's side have excelled playing against the elite clubs of late.
