Fenerbahce plot move for Manchester United defender

07 October 2017 - 09:18

Manchester United left-back Daley Blind has reportedly emerged as a winter transfer target for Fenerbahce. The Netherlands international failed to start a single league game in the month of September.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Blind started the campaign as the first-choice for the left-back spot, but he has since lost his place to Ashley Young, who has impressed in his makeshift position.

Young has already contributed two assists for the Red Devils this term, and the 32-year-old looks to have made a mini-revival to his career under Jose Mourinho.

According to Turkish outlet Hurriyet, the Istanbul outfit are lining up a transfer attempt for Blind following his indifferent start to the season at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman is currently behind Young and Matteo Darmian in the pecking order, and he could push for a winter exit, with Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo also waiting in the wings.

Blind managed just one start for Manchester United last month, coming in the 4-1 triumph over CSKA Moscow in the Champions League group stage.
