Liverpool legend-turned-pundit Jamie Carragher believes Manchester United will fall short of the Premier League title this term, unless they improve their record against the so-called top-six on their travels.
The Red Devils extended their unbeaten run this campaign to 11 games in all competitions following a 0-0 draw versus Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool on Saturday.
With the result, Mourinho has failed to win any of his previous 10 big away games (both Chelsea and United), whilst the club have scored just a solitary goal during this period.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, Carragher has urged Mourinho to change the approach in such kind of games, if they are to keep tabs with leaders Manchester City.
"I think the criticism will be saved to the end of the season if results in big away games don't improve and it costs them the title," he told Sky Sports. Â
"Manchester City have got six points from matches against Chelsea and Liverpool. Somewhere along the line Mourinho has got to pick up points."
Manchester United are currently two points behind their cross-town rivals, and they have difficult games against both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur prior to the next international break.
The club's immediate focus will be on their Champions League clash at Benfica on Wednesday night - a game which reunites Mourinho, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof with their former club.
