Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will reportedly block the loan exit of Charlie Musonda during the winter transfer window. The Belgian footballer has made just four appearances for the Blues this term - three of which have come from the substitutes' bench.
The Belgian youth international infuriated the club's hierarchy earlier this month after he went on his Instagram account to express his frustration over the limited playing time.
“You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what's expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should. And what do you get back? Literally nothing...done," he wrote.
Conte has since urged the 21-year-old to work harder in training, and according to Evening Standard, the Italian will restrict the forward's exit on a temporary basis in the New Year.
The Blues surprisingly loaned out both Kurt Zouma and Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Stoke City and Crystal Palace respectively in the summer, and Conte is keen to avoid a similar instance with Musonda, who he feels could play a key role in the Cup competitions.
Musonda notched his maiden competitive goal for Chelsea in the 5-1 League Cup triumph over Nottingham Forest last month, and he is pretty much certain of a start against Everton in the same competition tonight.
