Eden Hazard sends message to Antonio Conte prior to AS Roma clash

29 October 2017 - 22:00

Belgium international Eden Hazard has stressed that he is back to full fitness ahead of Tuesday's crunch Champions League outing versus AS Roma.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The 26-year-old scored the crucial winner in the 1-0 triumph over Bournemouth on Saturday, and he is determined to continue his impressive touch of late.

"Yeah for sure [back to full fitness], definitely. I’m training hard, the injury is the past," Hazard told Chelsea TV in the lead-up to the Roma clash.

"I’m fully ready for the next game, I just want to play. We are full of confidence now, two big games in Champions League and Premier League. And we are ready to play both."

Hazard has contributed three goals and one assist in October, and he will be hoping to end the month on a high with a victory at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Blues are presently leading Group C of the Champions League with seven points, and a victory would pretty much seal their qualification to the knockout stage, should Atleti slip in their game against Qarabag.

Meanwhile, Chelsea also have a crucial weekend game in the Premier League where they take on Manchester United in a late Sunday kickoff from Stamford Bridge.

The reigning champions are presently nine points behind leaders Manchester City in fourth place, and any further setback could diminish their chances of defending the title this term.
