Ipswich still chasing Nugent

Ipswich still chasing Nugent

Ipswich are still confident that they can seal a deal to sign Portsmouth striker David Nugent on loan for the rest of the season. A move for the striker had been stalled duo a minor injury.

  • Magilton told Ipswich Town's official website: "Portsmouth have been great about it and said that David can come here until the end of the season.

"David has an injury though at the moment and wants to get that right. So there will be two factors in his decisions, one - when he considers himself match-fit and two - whether he wants to come here or not.

"I'm sure he'll review the situation over the weekend and then take it from there so I don't expect to him an answer until next week.

"It's a statement of intent though that we have gone in for a player of his quality, a player we believe can help us get across the line."
