Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting an attempt to sign Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon after having tracked the teenager's progress over the past couple of games.
The 17-year-old has caught the eye of several elite clubs after contributing directly to 19 goals for Fulham during the ongoing Championship campaign.
According to The Sun, Mourinho is said to be a huge admirer of the highly-rated youngster, who is comfortable playing at left-back or on in a left-wing position.
The EFL Player of the Year was closely monitored by United scouts during Fulham's 2-2 draw versus Queens Park Rangers last weekend, and Mourinho is now prepared to lodge an approach for his signature.
Manchester United are said to value Sessegnon at around £40m, and part of the sum could be raised by the potential sale of Luke Shaw from Old Trafford.
Shaw, 22, has failed to live up to Mourinho's expectations of late, and BBC Sport has suggested that the left-back could seek an exit amid the constant criticism from the Portuguese tactician.
