The Mirror has this morning revealed that Jack Wilshere has been made a final offer from Arsenal to sign a new deal and stay at the Emirates Stadium. The long-serving midfielder, who has suffered with a series of injuries throughout his career, has forced his way back in to Arsenal's first-team plans this season.
Wilshere's contract will expire in June and so far the England international has refused to put pen to paper on fresh terms. The 26-year-old has played 31 times this season and appears to have put his long-standing injury issues behind him as he looks to secure a place in England's World Cup squad.
According to The Mirror, Wilshere has been offered a final "take it or leave it" contract by Arsene Wenger, with the terms of the deal believed to be a 3 year package worth £85,000 per week, with an additional £30,000 per week if the player stays fit and healthy.
Wilshere is looking for closer to £140,000 and assurances that he will remain a first-team player at Arsenal, therefore looks set to leave the club.
Bitter rivals Tottenham are surprise candidates to sign Wilshere on a free transfer.
