Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas would reportedly a new challenge away from the Spanish La Liga at the end of the current campaign. The Costa Rica international is said to favour a switch to the Gunners, who are looking into a replacement for Petr Cech.

  • According to Don Balon, Navas is planning to join a new league in the summer after having spent eight seasons in the Spanish top-flight. It is added that Navas has a particular preference for the Gunners, who are said to be mulling over an approach for his services.

The north London side are due to pursue a new goalkeeper to replace Cech in the number one position with 35-year-old prone to numerous errors over the course of the campaign.

Despite Cech's flaws, he is likely to at least play the back-up role for next season with David Ospina tipped to make way from the club after failing to displace the veteran.

Ospina has mostly featured in the Cup and European games for the Gunners with Cech getting the nod for the Premier League, where he has accumulated 200 clean sheets to date.
