Former Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique has suggested that he is waiting for an 'exciting offer' amid interest from the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The 47-year-old is currently on a 12-month sabbatical after a successful three-year stint with Barcelona, where he won the two La Liga titles, three Copa del Reys and the prestigious Champions League.

Speaking on Ibon Zugasti's Youtube channel, Enrique refused to disclose the clubs interested in him, but hinted that he may return to management before the start of the 2018/19 season.

"There has been interest from clubs, but it has to be something that really excites me. There's no other club where I'll be able to work with better players than at Barca," he said.

Chelsea are expected to part ways with Antonio Conte, who has been at odds with the club's hierarchy regarding their selection policy in recent transfer windows.

On the contrary, Paris Saint-Germain appear to have lost their patience with Unai Emery, who has failed to reach the latter stages of the Champions League despite their record spending spree last summer.
