Juventus are on the cusp of completing a 15 million euro transfer move for Man Utd defender Matteo Darmian. The Italian full-back has failed to impress since making the move to England and is now set to leave Old Trafford in favour of a return to his homeland.

  • The defender has been linked with Juventus for over three years but has only just decided that now is the time to make a move to the Serie A champions. The 28-year-old has two years remaining on his contract with Manchester United and Jose Mourinho has told Darmian that he is free to leave the club.

Juventus are known to also be interested in a move for Hector Bellerin, but Matteo Darmian is their preferred alternative.

According to several reports, the former Genoa defender has told Man Utd's coaching team that he wants to make a transfer as soon as the transfer window reopens in the summer. Darmian arrived at Old Trafford for around 10 million euros.
