Bolton looking at Selakovic

Bolton looking at Selakovic

25 February 2008 - 23:35

Bolton Wanderers are believed to be in discussions with IFK Gothenburg regarding a potential transfer for Swedish veteran striker Stefan Selakovic. Selakovic has 12 caps for Sweden and helped IFK to the Allsvenskan title last season.

  • Selakovic began his career playing for Swedish side Halmstads BK, before making a move to the Eredivisie to play for Heerenveen. Selakovic impressed throughout his time there - over four years - but had become homesick and returned to his homeland to play for his current club, IFK.

Gary Megson is still on the look out for another forward type player to fill the boots of Nicolas Anelka, and although Selakovic is not being considered a long term solution, Bolton see the Swede as ideal for next season.

Selakovic is likely to be available for around £2 million.
