Chelsea are reportedly making significant strides towards the signing of Adama Traore from Middlesbrough at the end of the campaign.

  • The 22-year-old has been in impressive touch for Boro this campaign and he has notched five goals and 10 assists to propel them to the Championship playoffs.

According to The Mirror, the Blues are prepared to revive their interest in Traore during the summer after having failed with an approach for his services in January 2017. It is added that a sum of around £30m could be sufficient to do business between the clubs and Tony Pulis faces a battle to keep hold of the forward regardless of Boro's possible return to the top-flight.

Traore, who has previously plyed his trade for Barcelona and Aston Villa, is also attracting interest from Everton and Newcastle United, though Chelsea remain the favourites owing to chief executive Peter Kenyon's close association with Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson.
