Eden Hazard responds about his Chelsea future after FA Cup win

19 May 2018 - 19:05

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has refused to confirm whether he would be staying at Stamford Bridge next term. The Belgium international scored the only goal of the game via the penalty spot on Saturday as the Blues beat Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Earlier this month, Hazard suggested that he would evaluate his future depending on the summer signings and he refused to give anything away on his future following the Cup triumph.

He told BBC Sport: "Now I am just happy. To see the fans celebrate is something we like. We didn't have a great season but at least we finish with a trophy."

"We tried to defend well. We kept a clean sheet, we scored one goal, it is enough today but if we want to win a lot of games we need to play better because we had to play defensively."

Hazard has been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain over the past 24 months and the former, in particular, are said to have a keen interest in his signature.

Despite this, the Blues are said to have no plans of cashing in on the attacker anytime soon and the club's hierarchy are hopeful that they can extend his contract beyond the summer of 2020.
