Arsenal are reportedly maintaining their interest Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira. The Portugal international has been linked with the Gunners over the past couple of seasons.
According to O Jogo, the north London club are still considering a move for the 26-year-old and have been in touch with the player's representatives regarding a possible deal.
However, there are still lingering doubts over the midfielder's fitness after he was ruled out of the summer World Cup finals with a serious Achilles injury sustained in April.
The Gunners have had concerns in the midfield and defensive departments of late but the incoming head coach is not expected to have the luxury of a mega transfer budget like some of the club's rivals.
Arsenal are said to have assigned a pre-sales budget of just £50m for the summer and Unai Emery, who appears as the leading managerial candidate has a huge task on his hands to reverse the club's fortunes.
