Barcelona are set to sign Sevilla centre-back Clement Lenglet from Sevilla in a deal worth a reported 25 million euros. The French defender, who has represented his country at every youth level but has yet to force his way into France's main national side, joined Sevilla in 2017 and has been one of the club's best players over the past 12 months.
Lenglet, who is very highly rated by many clubs across Europe, began his career with Nancy in France before making a 5 million euro transfer to Spain with Sevilla. The player has impressed considerably since his move to his current club, thus Barcelona's interest in acquiring his services.
According to a report from Spain, Barca hope to wrap up the deal before the World Cup begins and will offer the talented defender a five year contract at the Nou Camp. Barca will also beat Paris St Germain and Borussia Dortmund to Lenglet's coveted signature; with the French defender considered as a long-term replacement for Gerard Pique at the Catalan club.
