Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Alvaro Morata as a makeweight to sign Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi this summer.
Morata only joined the Blues in a club-record deal from Real Madrid last summer but he could not adjust to their style of play with just 15 goals scored in his 48 appearances.
According to Cadena Ser, the Blues are now considering the prospect of offloading Morata and they could offer him a return to the Serie A with Inter Milan.
The FA Cup holders are said to hold a keen interest in pursuing Mauro Icardi from the San Siro outfit and it is suggested that they could offer Morata plus £35m in order to recruit the Argentine.
Icardi netted 29 goals in 34 appearances for Inter Milan during the recently-concluded season but the club could still welcome a part-exchange deal to balance their financial books.
