Liverpool are alleged to be weighing up a surprise move to sign goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from Chelsea this summer.Â
The Merseyside giants are widely expected to pursue a new keeper during the current transfer window after a double blunder from Loris Karius in the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
According to Don Balon, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is keeping a keen eye on Courtois' situation and could be tempted to make a substantial offer which the Blues may find hard to refuse.
Chelsea have already ended contract talks with Courtois after reaching no conclusion over an extension and the Blues are now said to be contemplating over his sale with his deal expiring in a year's time.
European champions Real Madrid are also in the running for the former Atletico Madrid loanee and it is suggested that Courtois may prefer a return to the Spanish capital ahead of joining a direct league rival.
