Watford will complete the signing of attacker Gerard Deulofeu in a deal worth an expected 12 million euros. The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Vicarage Road and now looks set to extend his stay at the club and join on a permanent contract.
Barcelona have told Deuloufeu that he is surplus to requirements and can leave the club in search of a new challenge and Watford appear to be favourites to sign the Spaniard.
"I do not think I will return to Barca. They gave me up and I wanted to go on loan. It's clear that I do not think I'll come back," said Deulofeu.
"The (Watford) coach wants me to stay. I have to see, go slowly and analyse it well this summer. We will see with my agent what happens. We are in a quiet moment."
Watford will offer Deulofeu a three year contract worth a reported £50,000 per week to join the Vicarage Road side.
