Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has ended any speculation over his Spurs future by penning a fresh six-year deal. The England international has now become the club's highest-paid player on a weekly wage of around £200,000-a-week.
Kane's future has been frequently put into question in recent weeks and there were previously suggestions that Real Madrid could launch a world-record move for the marksman.
However, the Englishman has now ended any doubts by signing a new deal which will keep him in north London until the summer of 2024, he told the club's official website: "I'm really excited, it's a proud day. Obviously it's been a great few seasons and I'm looking forward to the future."
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has tended to operate the club on a tight wage structure over the years but the current wage package for Kane may encourage further extensions for the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen along the way.
