Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos had famously been involved in an incident with the Egyptian star, leaving Salah injured and reduced to tears during the Champions League final.
Salah, however, goes in to the tournament confident that he will be ready, and told reporters at Egypt's training camp: "I promise you, I will do my best to be ready for the World Cup and to achieve the Egyptian dream.
"I feel much better now and I'll be ready to play against Uruguay. I will never give up on our dream. I promise to do my best for our people."
Egypt take on the tournament hosts Russia on June 19 before wrapping up the group qualifiers against Saudi Arabia on June 25.
