West Ham to sign Javier Pastore

West Ham are to pull off a major coup if a deal to sign Argentina international Javier Pastore can be agreed. The Hammers are closing in on a reported 25 million euro transfer deal for the attacker.

  • Pastore, who has been with Paris St Germain since making a move from Italian club Palermo in 2011, has fallen out of favour at the Parc Des Princes and now looks set to continue his career in the English Premier League from next season.

Chilean boss Manuel Pellegrini is a huge fan of the attacker and the newly appointed manager is also desperate to add further attacking strength to his squad ahead of the new season.

Pastore, who has represented Argentina 29 times, played in 23 Ligue 1 games last season with a return of 4 goals. West Ham are hopeful that Pastore can help provide the creative edge to supply the goals ahead of the upcoming campaign.

It is understood that Pastore will earn around £200,000 per week if he makes the move to England, signing a three-year contract.
