Chelsea are reportedly to have snubbed a £35m bid from Real Madrid for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The Belgium international has just a year left on his existing deal but talks are expected to resume following the summer World Cup.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, Los Blancos are said to have lodged a £35m bid for the former Atletico loanee after previous target David de Gea agreed fresh terms with Manchester United.
However, the Blues have swiftly rebuffed the transfer proposal and they believe that the Belgian is worth more than what the European champions have tabled.
Courtois is widely expected to discuss a fresh contract with Chelsea following his return from Russia and reports suggest that the Belgian is likely to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.
Should this be the case, Los Blancos may be forced to switch their attention to Roma's Alisson, who won't come on the cheap either. The Giallorossi are said to demand at least £70m for the Brazil number one.
