Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere could reportedly emerge as a surprise target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho during this summer's transfer window.
The England international has just a couple of weeks left on his Gunners contract and widespread reports suggest that he is likely to leave the club on a free transfer.
As such, he has been linked with a whole host of clubs including Juventus and AC Milan and United appear to be mulling over a move for the midfielder, M.E.N reports.
United boss Jose Mourinho is supposedly keen on signing another midfielder with Marouane Fellaini on the move and Wilshere has been highlighted as an option, though he may not be assured of regular gametime.
Wilshere has been with the Gunners since the age of nine and he made his debut during the 2008/09 season. He has since managed nearly 200 appearances across all competitions whilst suffering numerous injuries in the process.
