Manchester United have reportedly earmarked Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski as one of their prime targets for the summer transfer window.
Earlier in May, Lewandowski's agent confirmed that his client could part ways with the German champions and the Pole has since hinted that he would like to ply his trade in a fresh league.
As such, there has been interest from the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid and according to France Football, United are said to have made contact with the player's representatives.
Nevertheless, a deal appears far from certain as Lewandowski would need to be assured of regular gametime to join the Old Trafford club. The Poland international has netted 150 goals in just 193 appearances for Bayern since joining them on a free transfer in the summer of 2014.
He is presently with Poland at the World Cup where they have already been knocked out after defeats to Senegal and Colombia. Poland play their final game of the group stage versus Japan and they could potentially oust the Asian giants from the tournament alongside them.
