France striker Olivier Giroud has said that he would have preferred to have former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry as part of the French coaching team giving him advice.
The Chelsea striker made this known ahead of France's semi-final clash against Belgium next Tuesday.
Henry is currently part of Roberto Martinez's coaching staff, and has reportedly been giving Romelu Lukaku tips on how to better himself and the Belgian attack.
“I’d had preferred him to be with us and to be giving his advice to me,” he said, reports Goal.
France and Belgium reached the semis after defeating Uruguay and Brazil respectively.
The Belgian attack has been on fire in Russia, scoring nine times in the group stage, and five in the knockout stage so far.
France on the other hand started the competition slowly, scoring only three times in the group stage before netting six times in the knockout stage so far.
The game between these two could probably decide who wins the World Cup because they have shown better quality than any of the other sides left.
