FA Cup holders Chelsea have reportedly received a boost in signing Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus this summer.
The Argentina international has netted 55 goals during his two seasons in Turin but his future has become uncertain following the club-record signing of Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to Calciomercato, the Bianconeri are willing to sanction the Argentine's sale after the recruitment of Ronaldo and they could be prepared a fee of around £48.6m with Chelsea among the key contenders for his signature.
The Blues are yet to make any sort of signing in the ongoing transfer window but this is expected to change in the coming weeks with the club seemingly close to appointing Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach.
Napoli's Jorginho has already been tipped to reunite with Sarri at Stamford Bridge after their club president confirmed the Blues offer and Higuain could take up the same route with Ronaldo being fancied to start upfront for the Bianconeri next season.
