Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is prepared to offer another chance for Luke Shaw to impress after he turned down a move to Everton this summer.
According to The Sun, Shaw is expected to feature extensively during the Red Devils pre-season tour of the United States and judging by his performances, Mourinho may decide on whether to start him for the league opener.
Shaw largely played second fiddle to Ashley Young during the course of the 2017/18 campaign and he ended the season with just 14 starts across all competitions.
Despite this, United seem ready to risk Shaw for the final year of his contract with the Englishman coming off a hard-working training regime in Dubai where he has sought to regain his fitness ahead of schedule.
Shaw and Matteo Darmian are presently the left-back options available for United for their pre-season tour while summer signing Diogo Dalot also capable of slotting into the role.
