Manchester United plotting Mina bid

Manchester United plotting Mina bid

29 July 2018 - 09:30

Manchester United are preparing a £35m bid for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina, according to the Sun on Sunday.

  • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
  • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
  • United have been in the market for a defender and have identified the Colombian who is also a target for Everton and Wolves.

According to reports, Everton are willing to match the £27m price tag for the defender but United could take him with a £35m bid. Mina is eager to complete a move to the Theatre of Dreams and wants the Catalans to let him go easily by not placing a huge price on him.

Barcelona reportedly want him to go on loan but the player wants a permanent move to Jose Mourinho's side. This move probably be easier for United with Leicester City demanding £80m for defender Harry Maguire.

Despite struggling for Barcelona since his move from Palmeiras, the Colombian international did very well for his country at the World Cup in Russia, scoring three goals. If the deal is completed, United will most likely have a great player in their squad.
