France international Laurent Koscielny has admitted that he could pursue a fresh challenge away from the Emirates once his Arsenal contract concludes in the summer of 2020.
The centre-back has been with the Gunners since the 2010/11 campaign and during this period, he has managed over 300 appearances while helping the team to three FA Cup titles.
Despite this, there has been criticism from a section of the Gunners faithful and the 32-year-old has now hinted that he may not retire with the north London club.
"I'm under contract until June 2020. Afterwards? I'm thinking of moving on, but I do not know where," Koscielny toldĀ Nice-Matin. "This is not relevant anyway! Then there will inevitably be a lot of question marks."
Koscielny suffered a serious Achilles problem during the Europa League semi-final against Atletico Madrid earlier in May and this forced him to miss the World Cup with France, who went on to become champions.
He is presently on a lengthy route to recovery after undergoing an operation but a quick return may witness him feature for Arsenal before the turn of the year.
