Aston Villa have announced that they have sealed the signing of Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old had initially cited his ambition to fight for his position with the Blues but the competition from Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud has urged him to pursue a temporary challenge elsewhere.
Abraham previously plyed his trade in the Championship with Bristol City where he scored 26 goals during the 2016/17 season and he now has the opportunity to help Villa seal promotion to the top-flight.
Villa had plenty of concerns during the early stages of the summer and at one position, they were fears that they could enter into administration with the financial constraints.
However, with the change in ownership, they have managed to find a solution and they are now right in the promotion mix after making a good start to the campaign.
At present, the west Midlands side are on nine points after the first five games of the season and they are scheduled to face Sheffield United on the road in their next league meeting.
