Paris St Germain have completed a deal to sign Spanish left-back Juan Bernat from Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old has signed a four year contract with the French side and is a full Spain international.

  • Bayern Munich left a tweet after Bernat completed his move, "Juan was an all-round professional who played a big part in the eight titles we won with him. We'd like to wish him and his family all the very best in Paris."

Bernat, who had previously played for Valencia before the Bavarian side, had entered the final year of his contract with the German club and subsequently the team decided to sell the player. Bernat mainly played behind first-choice left back David Alaba, but when called upon would often put in excellent performances for the Bundesliga club.

The French Champions PSG left it until the very last minute to announce the transfer of Bernat, and it is believed that the club have paid a fee of around 12.95 million euros to wrap up the capture of the defender's coveted signature.
