Eric Bailly wants showdown talks with Manchester United boss

06 September 2018 - 20:47

Manchester United centre-back Eric Bailly will reportedly seek discussions with head coach Jose Mourinho after being recently dropped from the starting lineup.

  • Chelsea quoted price to sign Igor Thiago
  • Chelsea make Joao Pedro transfer decision
  • The Ivorian started the first two games for United in the Premier League but he has since been dropped out of the starting lineup after a poor performance against Brighton & Hove Albion.

As a result, the centre-back appears concerned about his position under Jose Mourinho and Metro suggests that he will seek talks with the manager to determine whether he has a future at Old Trafford.

Bailly has been with the Red Devils since the summer of 2016 but he has managed to start in just half of the club appearances thereafter with a couple of long-term injuries hampering his progress.

In the current campaign, he has remained unscathed throughout but he has supposedly fallen below Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof in the pecking order for a central defensive role.
