Manchester United have reportedly indicated Inter Milan that they could be prepared to part ways with Anthony Martial in any deal, provided they manage to sign long-term target Ivan Perisic on a permanent move.
Martial has managed less than 90 minutes of first-team action since the start of the campaign and this has included just a solitary start in the shocking defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to The Mirror, the Nerazzurri were initially hoping to land Martial on a temporary basis in the New Year but that appears less likely with United having placed new demands.
The Red Devils are said to want Perisic on a permanent basis in the forthcoming transfer window irrespective of the kind of deal involving outcast Martial.
As such, Luciano Spalletti's side are likely to wait until the end of the campaign, given they are not keen on parting ways with Perisic midway through the ongoing season.
Perisic, who signed a fresh long-term deal with the Nerazzurri last summer, has already notched two Serie A goals this season. He was also on target for Croatia in the recent international friendly versus Portugal.
