Manchester United to move for Neymar?

19 September 2018 - 12:38

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly looking into a deal for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar when the current season comes to a close.

  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?
  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?

  • The Red Devils were hotly linked with a move for Real Madrid's Gareth Bale in the recent transfer window but a deal no longer appears likely with the Welshman comfortable with a regular role with the European champions.

As such, United seem to have switched their attention towards Neymar and Don Balon known for their outlandish claims suggest that they could make an approach for the Brazilian at the end of the season.

Neymar, who cost Paris Saint-Germain a world-record fee of £198m from Barcelona last summer, has also been regularly with a move to Real Madrid, though Les Parisiens' hierarchy have recently dismissed any sort of talks with the Spanish giants.

Manchester United have made a slow start to the season with just nine points from their opening five league matches but they will be hoping for a better beginning in the Champions League where they face Young Boys tonight.
