Villa want Bafetimbi Gomis

10 March 2008 - 22:15

Aston Villa have joined Newcastle in the hunt for £8 million rated St. Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis. Gomis has been in superb form this year in Ligue 1.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Bafetimbi Gomis has scored 10 goals in 24 games for the French minnows, and the 22 year old French youth international has shown some talents in Ligue 1 that has seen many draw comparisons between Gomis and Didier Drogba.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is also known to be an admirer of the target man, and reports of £12 million offers may be a little far fetched as initally St. Etienne were reportedly looking for just £4 million for Gomis.
