Manchester City plotting huge January bid for PSG attacker

Manchester City are plotting a £200m January bid for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Kylian Mbappe, according to the Sun.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Premier League champions are planning to offer the World Cup winner a £20m-a-year salary.

Pep Guardiola wants to bring the former Monaco man to the Etihad in order to help his side achieve Champions League glory this season.

The deal could happen due to the fact that PSG are undergoing Financial Fair Play (FFP) investigations by UEFA, and an outcome from the inquiry could force them to sell.

City on the other hand would have to sell one player before bringing Mbappe in order to stay within FFP rules. Raheem Sterling has been tipped as the possible departure to accommodate the France international.

Sterling is yet to agree a new deal with City despite efforts to make him commit to the club. His current contract expires in the summer of 2020.

Mbappe has also been linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona in recent months.
