Chelsea attacker Eden Hazard believes his team are capable of sustaining the Premier League title challenge this term after making a quick start under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.
The Blues finished a disappointing fifth during the previous campaign under Antonio Conte and this saw them placed as outsiders for the current Premier League season.
However, things have since transformed quite quickly under new head coach Sarri and the Blues are currently just two points behind both Manchester City and Liverpool in the third spot.
Speaking in a news conference, Hazard highlighted that his team are more than capable of challenging for a third Premier League title in five seasons after getting the better of Liverpool in recent meetings, he said:
"I think we can challenge with Liverpool and Manchester City, who are probably the best teams at the moment. We've played Liverpool twice and were so close to winning both games."
Hazard has stood out for the Blues this term, scoring seven goals and contributing a further two assists across all competitions but his teammates may need to step up their game, if they are to maintain their challenge.
Chelsea are scheduled to host Hungarian side Videoton in the Europa League on Thursday night and nothing less than a comfortable triumph would please the Blues' faithful.
