Chelsea midfielder has no plans of leaving the club

Chelsea's out-of-favour midfielder Danny Drinkwater is said to have no plans of parting ways with the Blues despite being phased out by new manager Maurizio Sarri.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • The 28-year-old has managed just half an hour of football since Sarri took over at the helm in the summer and that came during the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City in early August.

Since then, Drinwater has been linked with a number of Premier League sides including former employers Leicester City but according to The Telegraph, he is expected to stay put with the Blues for the moment.

Drinkwater was initially tipped to revive the midfield magic with former teammate N'Golo Kante at Stamford Bridge last season after making the switch from Leicester City.

However, he struggled to command a regular starting role to prove his worth to the team and this has remained the case this term whereby Sarri has not looked at the Englishman since the Premier League season started.
